ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEERING
The paper contains description of the method how to estimate switch-gear wife closeness. This method is based on the usage of electrodynamic force impulse. An approximate formula is deduced for determination of allowable value in respect of phase closeness of electrodynamic force impulse. The paper has made it possible to obtain an additional condition for estimation of non-allowable phase closeness of flexible buses in terms of design and allowable values of electrodynamic force impulse. Certainty of calculations has been estimated with the help of BUSEF computer program.
The paper considers selection methods of reactive power compensator parameters of for alternating current transmissions by different conditions. Calculated relationships and graphic dependences are obtained.
The paper contains results of investigations pertaining to ferroresonance currents. These investigations have been carried out by means of computer modeling of incomplete-phase regime of PTL with the purpose to select criteria for starting devices which are applied for detection and suppression of ferroresonance processes. The considered device is designed to switch off PTL with idle power transformer at incomplete phase regime. Recommendations for realization of the proposed model have been formulated and expediency concerning combination of insulation protection of network equipment and overvoltage limiter against ferroresonance overvoltages in a single algorithm has been shown in the paper.
The paper contains analysis of widespread designs of asynchronous motors with electromechanical brakes. The requirements imposed on these brakes are given in the paper. The paper presents conclusions on prospects of designing such motors.
The paper contains results of research in respect of dielectric properties of aromatic ПМ-1 and Upilex-type polyimides being modified with various quantity (0.1-2.0 % weight) of C60 fullerene. It is ascertained that temperature is influencing on time constants of p-relaxation of investigated materials.
The paper analyses a problem pertaining to improvement of selectivity of microcomputer based protection systems for power transmission lines. It is shown that transient resistance influences on selectivity in the place of fault. An adaptive setting policy and a practical method concerning calculation of a phase angle and adapted inductive reactance are given in the paper.
НEAT POWER ENGINEERING
The purpose of the paper is to develop thermal model of heat conduction in a piece of СаСОз raw material. The proposed model makes it possible to reconsider the parameters of calcination process in favor of fuel rate decrease.
The paper analyzes methods of reducing nitrogen oxide emission in industrial furnace combustion products. Special attention is given to techniques of emission reduction while organizing low-emission fuel combustion. The paper reveals a possibility to monitor NO2 formation mechanism while using a two-stage fuel combustion in comparison with concentrated one-stage combustion. Principal schemes of two-stage combustion with application of various gas burners are given in the paper.
The paper contains information on main results of introduction of the first two Byelorussian ТРБ-model steam turbines. The experience of their operation fully corroborates the correctness of technical solutions that form the basis of their design. The paper reveals that ТРБ turbines of its class are characterized by the highest reliability and rather high economic efficiency.
The paper contains an analysis of the equipment state at a number of thermal power stations. This analysis is made on the basis of indifferent curves. Relationship of two factors is taken as a criterion for estimation of the equipment state. These factors are faultiness (parameter of failure fi"equency) and operating time from the moment when the equipment was put into operation. It is noted that operation of the equipment in excess of specified life without replacement of so-called «weab> elements and estimation of metal state will lead to conditions of high risk in opieration of such equipment.
The paper considers conditions required for creation of open energy systems. Coefficient of energy obtaining and its conversion is more than one in such systems because environmental energy ingress is not taken into account. It is shown that in active environment conversion of energy from one type into another one takes place without any work expense, in other words this process is going on directly.
HYDRAULIC POWER ENGINEERING
The main reason of return to so called «small hydraulic power engineering», involvement of local hydraulic power resources in power balance of the Republic is significant changes of social and economical conditions of management, acute deficit and high price of local and in^orted resources of fuel, oil, gas, electric power, respectively.
The paper analyses hydraulic power engineering potential of the Republic of Belarus. History of the development of hydraulic power engineering in the Republic, program of restoration and construction of hydraulic power stations, some prospective projects that ate planned for realization are presented in the paper.
