Abstract

Algorithmic methodology has been developed to evaluate calculation errors of individual equivalent resistances of power lines and transformers of 6–20 kV power networks under operational conditions. Influence of load on electric energy losses in networks has been analyzed and it is shown that remoteness of a load (place of connection) from power supply source is the main factor effecting the losses.

Abstract

The paper contains description of a simplified method for calculating closing-in of switch-gear flexible buses at short circuit. The developed method is based on integral and energy principles of  mechanics. In order to increase accuracy of the calculation corrections factors are introduced in an explicit formula for calculation of maximum horizontal deviations. These factors have been obtained with the help of a computer program that realized numerical method for calculating closing-in of wires by flexible thread levels.

Diagrams are constructed with the purpose to find ymax and criteria of electro-dynamic resistance of flexible buses (permissible impulse of electro-dynamic forces and current of electro-dynamic resistance) is determined.

Abstract

A point of feedback switch eliminating resonances in closed electromechanical system along the whole length of a circle object without correcting devices has been determined. Methodology for obtaining a rational transfer function on the basis of resonance frequency distribution and object anti-resonances has been developed.

Abstract

The paper shows how to solve the problem concerning reveal of changes in mathematical models and electric parameters of symmetric three-phase short-circuited asynchronous electric motors in case of their connection to single- or two-phase network in comparison with their connection to three-phase network. The uniform methodological approach permitting to generalize the known data and receive new results is offered in the paper.

Abstract

It is proposed to evaluate quality of asphalt concrete mixture through definition of current component variable of a drive motor and measurement of its derivative sign. In order to carry out final determination of mixture uniformity a transducer on the basis of a nuclear magnetic resonance is applied. Block diagram of the system is presented and algorithm of its operation is given in the paper. In addition to improvement of the finished product quality the application of the system makes it possible to reduce bitumen consumption used for production of asphalt concrete.

Abstract

Simulating model and algorithm for control of electric power converter of a solar battery are proposed in the paper. Control device of D.C. step-down converter with pulse-width modulation is designed on microprocessor basis. Simulating model permits to investigate various operational modes of a solar battery, demonstrates a process with maximum power mode and is characterized by convenient user’s interface.

Abstract

Problems concerning development of composite insulators and insulator types for electric mains with a voltage higher than 1000 kV in the Western Europe are considered in the paper. It shows the prospects for obtaining a number of polymer materials (epoxy resin, silicone elastomer, ethylene-propylene rubber, polytetraftuoroethylene etc.), reinforcing materials and ageing problem of polymer insulation.

Abstract

The paper considers a helicoid vertically axial windmill geared to synchronous magneto-electric generator which operates for a power system or an independent resistive load. In order to optimize operational modes of a wind power unit a mathematical model and software have been developed and a number of calculative experiments have been carried out. The obtained law of wind unit control makes it possible to ensure maximum power output and stability in a wind unit operation.

Abstract

The paper considers a combined power installation being a part of gas expansion set and thermal engine for gas distribution stations. It is shown that in the case when a steam turbine condensing power plant serves as a substitution station increased heating of gas prior to GES without its cooling after the set is more profitable.

Abstract

The paper presents results of theoretical investigations of interrelation of fluid levels in standpipes and capacitances of cooling towers and also in a forebay of circulating systems at thermal power stations. Results of investigations of fluid levels in capacitances of cooling towers and in a forebay are shown on a computer model developed with the help of graph theory.

Abstract

The paper contains information about analytical solutions of a non-linear heat conduction equation. Taking into account the fact that till the present moment physically substantiated methods for solving this equation are not found, analytical formulae have been derived for the first time. An example of calculations in the case of variable coefficients of thermal conductivity and radiative heating transfer on the boundaries is considered in the paper. The paper presents calculation of heat conduction process with a change in the physical state of substance. Mathematical functions suitable for obtaining analytical formulae are determined by means of a detailed analysis of physical model.

Abstract

The method is proposed to make a correction in payment for consumption of reactive energy and power which is attributed to deviation of actual activation energy losses for reactive power compensation from their standard value. It is recommended to calculate standard loss values for every voltage level and actual loss values are to be determined with the help of application of remote electronic accounting means in the current mode of power consumption.

Abstract

The paper presents main criteria on evaluation of intra-industrial relation efficiency at home power enterprises. The main approaches to the given evaluation have been analyzed and their disadvantages have been indicated. By contrast to the present criteria, evaluation indices of intra-industrial relation efficiency at power enterprises are proposed in the paper.
