Abstract

The paper presents a numerical calculation method of split phase galloping of aerial power line which is based on equivalent wire model. Mathematical model of combined galloping damper dynamics is cited in the paper. Comparison of calculative and experimental parameters of single- and double– semi-wave galloping of KazSRIP experimental span for various initial glaciation angles. An efficiency evaluation of damping single- and double- semi-wave galloping by combined dampers is given in the paper. Reliability of this evaluation has been verified by experimental data.

Abstract

The paper considers a methodology for calculation of reliability of reserved relay and contact systems consisting of elements with two types of failures. Influence of statistical dependent failures on reliability of relay and contact systems is shown in the paper.

Abstract

It is shown that the reason of deviation from gas similarity law in the field of high pressure is the presence of microscopic protuberances on the electrode surface. Application of dielectric coating on the electrode surface does not eliminate an influence of microscopic protuberances on dis-charge gas voltage in the field of high pressure.

Abstract

An analysis of the known methods for magnetic curve approximation of electrical machines has been carried out and their disadvantages have been revealed. It is established that six degree algebraic polynomial provides the best approximation of traction motor magnetic curve. Its coefficients have been determined and they make it possible to approximate magnetic curve of trolleybus traction DK-210A3-type motor with an accuracy which is sufficient for practical calculation.

Abstract

The paper considers efficiency and prospects in development of different types of fossil-fuel power plants – gas turbine, steam turbine and combined (gas and steam) cycles.

The paper provides information on plant selection, fuel consumption, specific output cost. It describes main advantages of various power plants.

Abstract

Designing of highly-efficient axial compressors is connected with their better aerodynamic cleanness. One of the ways is to minimize radial clearances for decreasing leakages and, consequently, increasing efficiency. At the same time it is necessary to exclude stator touching by rotor blades.

ANSYS complex has been used to reduce a gap by 1.5–2.0-fold in comparison with the existing one.

It has become possible to obtain dependences of radial displacement of peripheral blade edge and stator ring element, located above it, on heating time.

Practical and research value of the paper is in the development of a methodology for calculation of heating (cooling), which can be applied while designing axial turbine machines and evaluating the possible minimization of radial gap in the case that excludes touching.

Abstract

The paper describes automatic system for controlling the equipment of electrical part of 165 MW which is based on programming controllers and computers.

The proposed system can be applied at operating power stations and the stations which are under construction.

The paper provides results showing introduction of the system at the station No. 4 of the Berezovskaya Hydraulic Power Station in 2004.

Abstract

The paper proposes a new method for combined production of a number of technological products (nitrogen, carbon dioxide, water, electrical, heating and cold energy) with the help of combined power technological plant (PTP). The paper describes principle of its operation and also provides criteria of its serviceability.

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the solution of the problem concerning power saving on the basis of small power-and-heat-supply plants.

Power efficiency of power turbine generator switching into thermal circuit of small and medium boiler houses is justified in the paper.
