ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEERING
The paper considers problems pertaining to quality control and analysis of electric power in networks of 1 kV and higher. It has been shown that in addition to periodical inspection of voltage transformers it is necessary to make diagnosis of their frequency characteristics. The paper proposes standards on frequency characteristics of voltage transformers and an automated method which has been tested in respect of real objects. The method makes it possible to execute diagnosis of frequency characteristics of voltage transformers directly on site of their operation and simultaneously with an inspection process.
The proposed new method for distribution of reactive load between generators of electric power stations serves to ensure higher stability. The paper has determined on the basis of calculations pertaining to steady-state and transitional conditions that application of the given method leads to significant higher safety factor of static stability for active power and increases limit clearing time of a short circuit.
НEAT POWER ENGINEERING
The paper considers designing principles of operational space continuous heating and heat-treating furnaces at mechanical engineering, automotive and tractor enterprises in theRepublicofBelarus. A role of temperature chart on heating metallic charge while evaluating specific expenses of organic fuel in heating and heat-treating furnaces of mechanical engineering, automotive and tractor industries.
Regularities on destruction of a conducting non-magnetic jet have been determined within the limits of magnetic hydrodynamics model when the jet was subjected to longitudinal and azimuthal magnetic fields. The obtained regularities of the process makes it possible to apply them efficiently for controlling parameters of metallurgical processes and metal-transfer process at welding.
The paper describes method for reduction of NOx emissions by means of burning fuel with moderate residual incomplete combustion. Experimental results at two boilers are given in the paper.
The paper considers an influence of gas-air path aerodynamic resistance for a gas-turbine plant, barometric pressure, air moisture and outside air temperature on parameters, efficiency and characteristics of electric power plants with gas-turbine and combined-cycle sets. Calculations and analysis have been executed for Alstom GT13E2 gas-turbine which is included in composition of Steam Gas Plant-230 at the Minsk Thermal Power Plant No.3.
