Expression for detection of a small parameter has been obtained in the paper. The parameter determines proximity of auto-oscillating «single-phase asynchronous electric motor – linear elastic element» system to linear conservative one. The given expression can be used for determination of an error which is given by an asymptotic method for analysis of the auto-oscillating system described in the given paper (in particular the Van der Pol method).
The paper considers a method for determination of induction motor electromagnetic parameters while using complete instant power equations. The methods for AC motor electromagnetic parameters are proposed in the paper. The paper reveals the method efficiency while determining induction motor electromagnetic parameters.
The purpose of a crane control system is to provide load transfer with minimum swinging. The paper presents a developed three-dimensional simulation model of a bridge crane with fuzzy logic controller designed with application of genetic algorithms. Comparative indices of oscillation while load transferring are given in the paper. The indices have been obtained at various parameters of the fuzzy logic controller.
The paper considers methodology for complex technical and economic assessment of 6-10/0,4 kV transformer sub-stations (TS). A database scheme has been developed and it makes it possible for synthesizing a computer program algorithm for selection of TS-type which has a switch-gear of an initial voltage. The paper presents results of technical and economic comparison of variants of two-transformer sub-stations with high-voltage switchgear on the basis of KCO-type chambers and with application of compact cells with sulfar hexafluorated insulation of КРУЭ type.

The paper proposes a methodology for an analysis and calculation of processes pertaining to turbulent liquid flows in pipes and channels. Various modes of liquid motion in pipelines of thermal power devices and equipment have been considered in the paper.
The presented dependences can be used while making practical calculations of losses due to friction in case of transportation of various energy carriers.
A molecular-kinetic approach to an analysis of thermal energy converters has been developed in the paper. The approach allows to carry out a computer simulation under various conditions of converter application. The paper considers possibilities to improve heat engines and electro-dynamic motors. It has been revealed that an increase of the UAV flight time can be achieved not only through an efficient usage of energy generated during fuel combustion but also through arrangement of open power systems that implement a heat pump principle. A prospect concerning energy development of transport facilities is to create interconnected systems of open-type with application of heat pumps.
The paper analyzes experimental data and results of balance tests of two continuous heating furnaces applied in mechanical engineering and metallurgical industries. Furnace power technological characteristics and dependences of these characteristics on equipment productivity have been determined in the paper. The analysis has made it possible to reveal reasons of higher efficiency of a heating furnace used at BSW Rolling Mill-320 and formulate recommendations on reduction of fuel consumption in operating and designed combustion furnaces applied in mechanical engineering and metallurgical industries.
The paper considers water boiler modernization by its change-over in mini-TPP mode with an expansion tank and a heating turbine of small capacity. A software complex permitting to evaluate competitive ability of such water boiler modernization in comparison with a cogeneration plant.
