Fyodor A. Romanyuk is a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor. His affiliation is Belarusian National Technical University.

He was born in 1952. In 1978 he graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute. He is a Doctor of Technical Sciences since 1999, a Professor since 2001, a corresponding member of National Academy of Sciences since 2014.

Fyodor Romanyuk worked as a junior researcher, senior lecturer, associate professor, Vice-rector for research work, Vice-rector for research and innovative work of the Belarusian national technical University.

Prof. Romanyuk is a scholar in the field of electric power industry. His academic works are dedicated to the development of principles of microprocessor systems of protection and automation of electrical installations, as well as to the mathematical modeling of the latter in order to study the behavior by means of the method of computational experiment. The most significant academic achievement of Prof. Romaniuk is the creation of new efficient ways of determining information parameters of the input signals in microprocessor protection and automation systems, as well as the development of such devices for practical implementation.

Theoretical fundamentals, principles of microprocessor systems of protection and automatics that had been proposed by Fyodor A. Romanyuk were the basis for organization of production of microprocessor relay protection of electric power objects in the Republic of Belarus.

Fyodor Romaniuk is the head of the scientific school in the field of development and mathematical modeling of microprocessor relay protection and electric power facilities. In the framework of this school microprocessor-based protection of synchronous generators was created and implemented for the first time in the USSR.

As a head of a number of fundamental and applied research projects in the field of electric power industry Prof. Romanyuk actively participates in performance of scientific research. He is the author of over 200 scientific and methodical works, including three monographs, one textbook and more than 20 inventions. He is also the Chairman of Educational-and-Methodical Association of Universities of the Republic of Belarus on Education in the Field of Power Production and Power Equipment, the Chairman of the Council on defense of dissertations in power production specialties.

For the achievements in his academic activities and in training of scientific and engineering personnel Prof. Romanyuk was decorated with the medal "For Labor Achievements", awarded the Honorary diploma of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the diploma of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, diploma of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, diploma of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, the Badge "Excellent education worker" of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. In 2009 he was awarded the honorary title "Minsker of the year".

For his personal contribution to the development and improvement of the Belarusian energy system Fyodor Romaniuk was awarded the the Badge "Excellent Worker of Power Industry” and two commemorative signs of the concern "Belenergo".
