Abstract

The paper considers peculiar features concerning introduction of wind power in Belarus. Expediency and necessity of its introduction irrespective of nuclear power station construction are shown in the paper. The paper contains recommendations for selection of installation parameters, their peculiar features in design and their location.

Abstract

The paper is dedicated to modeling discrete systems with phase-locked control which are applied in the plants for regulating frequency and object rotation speed etc. The paper considers simulation method as an approach, analysis and synthesis for revision of calculation results and quicker solution of system modeling problems.

Abstract

It is shown that application of own power stations at an industrial enterprise is considered as an expedient one if there is an availability of thermal power sources because value of an optimization criterion exceeds corresponding optimization criterion by 2.1-4.6 fold when an enterprise is supplied with power only from power system networks.

Abstract

The paper investigates an operation of a step-up DC voltage converter in the mode of boundary-continuous restrictor current. Functional diagram of a logic unit ensuring boundary-continuous mode has been developed. A mathematical model of a converter operating in a boundary-continuous mode, has been built in the paper. Comparative transient simulation in a linear structure and a model on the basis of power element library have been carried out with the help of a computer.

Abstract

An influence of utilization of various fuel types on the environment pollution has been analyzed taking into account the state and forecast of changes in consumption structure of primary energy in the world.

The regional peculiarities of the environment impact have been studied methodically (regarding the Ukraine as an example): distribution of the harmful effluents has been considered in various regions of the country and inter-relations of some branches of national economy and industry with the atmosphere pollution have been examined.

The CO2 effluent distribution within the European regions has been considered as the main greenhouse gas. It has been stated that the difference of the specific CO2 effluent yield per unit of GDP makes more than an order by value between some European countries.

This index becomes higher if specific GDP of the country concerned is lower and portion of extractive industries, metallurgical and fuel-power complexes is higher in the country’s economy.

Abstract

The paper considers measures pertaining to construction of new industrial furnaces and modernization of existing ones at the plants of the Republic of Belarus. Concrete recommendations ensuring an increase of technological factor of thermal and heating furnaces up to 35–37 % that is by 2–3-fold higher in comparison with a current value of the index that shows efficiency of organic fuel usage.

Abstract
The paper presents a new methodology for determination of resistance to heat transfer of building external walls with the introduction of heat engineering uniformity factors obtained on the basis of calculating two- and three-dimensional temperature pattern. The methodology makes it possible to take into account influence of joints, connections with adjoining structures and jambs of external walls.

Abstract

The paper cites results of an experimental research in aerodynamics of a cyclonic chamber with a free exit that has a large relative length. Distributions of aerodynamic stream characteristics depending on geometry of working volume of the cyclonic chamber are given in the paper. Calculative dependences are proposed in the paper.

Abstract

Applying numerical methods an equation of heat transfer in the soil bonding with floors and building buried parts. Factors influencing on heat transfer have been investigated. New engineering technique for heat loss calculation through floor and buried wall parts has been elaborated. The obtained results have been used as a basis for preparation of a new building normative document.
