ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEERING
The paper considers a method for improvement of micro-processor current protection lines that permits to expand a zone of instantaneous short-circuit cut-off and decrease a number of discriminating elements. In order to reach this purpose the paper proposes additionally to determine a distance up to the short circuit location within functions of the lines concerned. A distance principle for determination of a distance up to the damage place can be laid down in the basis for сalculation of short-circuit location while using an algorithm of orthogonal components or a 3-counting algorithm. The first mentioned algorithm is characterized by higher accuracy but it is sensitive to frequency changes. The 3-counting algorithm is practically insensitive to frequency changes but it is less accurate. Altogether each of the considered algorithms is operational and ensures obtaining of the required information for efficient realization of functions for detection of damage location.
The given propositions can be used while developing algorithms for operation of micro-processor current directed protections of distribution mains lines.
The paper demonstrates that it is possible significantly to simplify technical realization of sliding modes in quasi-relay follow-up systems having non-reversive direct tract supplemented by a reverse channel. Conditions for existence of sliding modes in such quasi-relay systems are obtained in the paper. The paper formulates and proves a theorem of representation point transfer on switching-over hypersurface. Stability of sliding motions has been investigated in the paper. The paper reveals the possibility of quasi-optimum quick-action motions. The conditions for existence of such motions has been determined in the paper.
The paper analyzes feeding systems for self-controlled inverter-bed inductor motor windings. Peculiar operational feature of the self-controlled inverter-bed inductor motor consists in the fact that the instantaneous electro-magnetic drive is determined by the sum of separate phase moments which are simultaneously alive. Quasi-stationary drive operational modes are analyzed on the basis of the developed simulation model.

The paper presents results of parameters’ calculation for steel and coppered steel electrodes in two-layer ground.
The purpose of the paper is a structure formation and an analysis of non-sensing element vector control system developed for tractional electric drive with the help of mathematical simulation method. The paper presents a functional diagram of the electric drive with non-sensing element vector control system operated by an asynchronous short-circuited electric motor. Main expressions used for evaluation of variables of system conditions and parameters are cited in the paper. The paper provides results of mathematical simulation method for electric drive system taking into consideration various parameter values which confirm serviceability of the developed control system within the whole range of possible parameter chnges.
