Abstract
The paper considers a problem pertaining to determination of  an optimum effective range of a distribution power network with due account of such factors as time, cost diversity and consumer electric supply reliability. Influence of these factors on an optimum effective range value of  the 10 кV electric network is investigated in the paper.

Abstract

The paper considers a methodology for execution of a harmonic analysis of current and voltage numerical values obtained in the result of a computational experiment and saved in an external data file. The harmonic analysis has been carried out in the Mathcad mathematical packet environment.

Abstract

The switched reluctance motor (SRM) represents a great interest while being applied in various fields as an alternative to asynchronous motors with a short-circuit rotor. A SRM disadvantage is a nonlinearity of its characteristics. Due to this reason it is desirable to execute investigations using a developed simulation model. The simulation results (electromagnetic torque and current) are in good agreement with those values studied in the literature.

Abstract

A method for calculation of electromagnetic parameters of single vertical grounding electrode of finite length has been developed. The results of mathematical simulation of electromagnetic parameters of the stated grounding electrodes are presented in the paper. The paper proposes approximate analytical expressions for calculation of grounding electrode resistances and voltages considering electromagnetic field attenuation in ground and electrode. These expressions are acceptable for application.

Abstract

The power world crises (1973, 1979) have demonstrated that mankind entered the expensive energy epoch. More and more attitude is given to power saving problem by including renewable power sources in energy balance of the countries. The paper analyzes a power system inBelarusand a typical chart of the active load is cited in the paper. Equalization of load chart is considered as one of measures directed on provision of higher operational efficiency of power system and power saving.  This purpose can be obtained while including electromechanical peak devices of the distributed generation in the energy balance.

Abstract

The paper considers problems pertaining to temperature evaluation of a heat transferring body in the operational space of high temperature installations. A formula for evaluation of this temperature has been written down in the paper. Calculation of a heating transferring body (furnace) makes it possible to realize temperature chart parameters in the plant heating technologies and steel thermal treatment.

Abstract

An approximate analytical solution of a non-linear problem concerning heat transfer in the liquid at Couette flow with due account of friction heat has been obtained on the basis of the Kantarovich orthogonal method. The solution has made it possible to carry out temperature investigations at small values of an axial coordinate. Being obtained in the fifth approximation the solution has permitted for the first time to value liquid temperature within the range of the axial spatial coordinate. The analysis of the obtained results has revealed that a temperature maximum shift to motionless flow has been observed at small values of the axial coordinate.

It is possible to make a conclusion that in order to protect devices that are moving with high speed in various media it is necessary to organize boundary layer disruption that allows to avoid stabilization of a temperature field in a flow which promotes wall over-heating due to energy dissipation.

Abstract

While starting turbines from cold and non-cooled-down states rotors are heated quicker than cylinders due to significantly less weight and more intensive interaction with steam and the value of their differential expansion reaches up to the rated ones in the period of 4-5 hours.

The investigations have revealed that while using a swirling steam attemperator it is possible to feed steam to turbine seals of the required temperature and at the required time during its variable operational conditions. This methodology makes it possible to save 400 t of specific fuel. In addition to this operational reliability of a power block is increased and a number and cost of repairs is decreased.

Abstract

The paper considers an approach to execution of measures pertaining to higher power efficiency in some branches of consumers’ cooperation of theRepublicofBelarus. The approach is based on the method for unification of the investigated enterprises. The described mechanism takes into account organizational peculiarities of the Belkoopsoyuz structure and also technical equipment of the investigated consumers’ cooperation and it permits to specify the most power consuming directions and develop typical innovation technical solutions pertaining to the objects of the consumers’ cooperation of theRepublicofBelarus.

Abstract

The paper gives further interpretation of resistance law in case when single balls are falling in fluid and also presents research of free falling balls behaviour depending on a resistance force value.

On the basis of general resistance law a formula for calculation of free falling single ball velocity is suggested in the paper.
