Abstract

The paper proposes one-dimension model of temperature field with the purpose to calculate plane contact heating under steady-state and transient conditions. The numerical algorithms have been developed to calculate contact temperatures. These algorithms are based on a separate solution of differential equations of electromagnetic and temperature fields. The finite difference method and numerical and analytical method for steady-state conditions have been applied in the calculations. Distribution of temperature along the length of plane and knife-type contacts at various moments of short-circuit conditions has been obtained. The investigations have shown that current conducting parts determine contact temperature in the case of steady-state conditions. In the case of transient conditions there is a possibility of significant over-heating of contact connections.

Abstract

The paper considers the problem of calculation of steady-state regime of a radial network consisting of one power line. In order to set-up a mathematical model of the problem П-shape equivalent circuit of a power line has been used. The paper reveals that it is possible to obtain conditions that confirm the existence of solutions of non-linear system of equations of nodal voltage and also accurate solutions for the cases when load at the end of power line is specified by constant power, and generator node is a balancing one for power. The paper gives numerical solution of the practical problem with the help of the described formulas.

Abstract

The paper shows that while a streamer is moving between electrodes their density and streamer current are increasing as an exponential law due to photoionization effect. This phenomena may be interpreted as a presence of photoionization instability in the channel of moving streamer.

Instability increment has been found out. It has been revealed that this instability has threshold character and its origin is initiated by avalanche and streamer transition.

Abstract

The paper reveals the procedure of calculation of velocity fields, flame temperature and changes in concentration of the components of combustion products on the basis of time and length of a turbulent flame of gas-burning devices. This method is used to justify the selection of burners for state-of-the-art furnaces of the Republican Unitary Enterprise (RUE) «Byelorussian Steel Mills».

Abstract

Double electric layers of the divided electric charges arise in the places of cluster joints of various substances. Due to this phenomena dipole-type radio frequency emission is initiated. While burning various types of fuel in the combustion chambers of power systems relatively high radio-frequency emission appears as well. This emission is amplitude-modulated by a weak radiofrequency emission which is caused by mechanical and thermal effects. If a frame executes role of an aerial radiator then a radio-frequency emission is modulated as well according to oscillation frequency of the frame. Changes in frequency and intensity of combination frequencies testify to deviations of the power system from its normal operation. In accordance with the determined threshold it is possible to assume that the power system is close to its failure.

Abstract

The paper considers a statement of optimization problem, its solution and analysis of the results in respect of a reactors’ stage which are in continuous intersterification. Industrial necessity gives rise to the solution of this problem with the purpose to decrease significantly power expenditure while producing polyethyleneterepntalate polymer on the basis of dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol. The initial variational optimum problem firstly reduces to a nonlinear programming problem and then it is reduced to a sequence of linear programming problems which are solved in narrow temperature area. The analysis of the obtained results testifies to possible decrease of thermal power expenditure while applying optimum temperature profiles in a stage.

Abstract

The papers considers technological and regime solutions of higher system efficiency of Minsk Thermal Power Station No.3.

The regime solutions provide for optimum distribution of loads among groups of TPS turbine plants and between separate ones as well. The solutions are based on the elaboration and application of corresponding computer programs.

Technological solutions are firstly directed to reduction of heat losses in the cycle (turbine capacitors) and increase of power- and-heat generation.
