Abstract

The paper substantiates a selection of passive or active system for dubbing technical systems in accordance with characteristics pertaining to probability of no-failure operation and mean–time-between failures with due account of non-reliability of a built-in control device and systems complexity.

Abstract

An algorithmized methodology for expeditious calculations of technical losses in 0.38–10 kV electric networks of the Belarusian United Energy Systems has been developed on the basis of performance information which is formed by modern intellectual devices for registration and accumulation of data. The methodology allows to increase the accuracy in calculation of losses using more exact distribution of loadings between consumers of transformer substations and analyze an incremental value of  losses due to their asymmetrical connection of consumers and circuit asymmetry.

Abstract

The paper considers problems of possible decrease in power consumption for deficient electric power system. A mathematical model for a minimum search of criterion function has been  formulated in the paper. Power deficiency is described as a complicated function for an integrated assessment on electricity delivery and consumption. The criterion function is multicriterial and includes main components for determination of the total power deficiency. The system of restrictions takes into account extreme values of adjustable parameters.

Abstract

The paper considers a dependence of efficiency factor on transformer loadings. Specific features of the dependence are given in the paper.

Abstract

The paper proposes a device and algorithms for early detection of slowly developing faults in a power transformer that cause its abnormal heating. The device differentiates from the others that it requires only temperature measurement of  transformer tank surface and ambient temperatures. Experimental 63 MV×A autotransformer tests have proved faithfulness of the developed algorithms.

Abstract
The paper considers an influence of geometrical parameters of discharge tubes (diameter and length) on electrical and lighting characteristics of fluorescent lamps at a gradual continuous change in voltage supply frequency.

Abstract

Directions pertaining to intensification of convective heat transfer in a soft heating device have been experimentally investigated  in the paper and the most efficient one has been selected that is creation of artificial roughness on the device surface. The considered heating device for a heat supply system of a mobile object has been made of soft polymer material (polyvinyl chloride).

Following  evaluation results of  heat exchange intensification a criteria equation has been obtained for calculation of external heat transfer with due account of heat transfer intensification.

Abstract
The paper describes an experimental investigation pertaining to distribution of oscillatory and averaged tangential and axial velocities of turbulent flow in cyclone chambers of high relative length. It has been shown that as in the chambers of relatively small length (close to unit length) general level of velocity pulsation intensity significantly exceeds the level observed in the chambers of analogous use with non-tightened-up heat carrier.

Abstract

The paper describes technical and economic evaluation of various methods pertaining to passing through failures of electric load at TPP which is operating in accordance with heating schedule.

Abstract

A whole class of devices has been developed and tested in the paper. These devices have appeared as a result of fundamental investigations of multi-phase flows in centrifugal power floors, mechanism understanding of processes  which are occurring there and their mathematical description for optimization. It is for the first  time when the paper proposes an efficient method for reduction of steam pressure and temperature in vortex pressure-reducing and desuperheating stations and steam cooling devices.

Abstract

The paper considers prospects for modernization of the operating linear portion of JSC “Beltransgaz” gas transportation system, various methods and materials which are used while implementing  construction and installation works in the oil and gas sector. It has been shown that in the recent decade one of the most technically, technologically and economically efficient application of the material is double-composite polyurethane coating. The method for coating deposition has been tested and introduced by JSC “Beltransgaz” with significant economic efficiency.

Abstract

An optimum utilization criterion for pressurized  ventilation and air heating systems of public and office buildings has been obtained on the basis of generalized mathematical model of thermal and aerodynamic characteristics of air heating and ventilation systems.

HYDRAULIC POWER ENGINEERING

Abstract

The paper describes a steady pressure and free-flow circulation flow in the pre-screen zone of a well during its hydrodynamic reagent-free flushing. Calculation dependences for description of a filtration flow and creation of a hydrodynamic grid have been obtained in the paper. The paper presents results of experimental investigations on filtration flow. The obtained results agree completely with the calculation dependences that testifies about the possibility to use the obtained formulas for description of the filtration flow originating in the pre-screen zone of a well during its hydrodynamic reagent-free flushing.
