Author Guidelines

Research papers, review articles, short communications in English and Russian languages are accepted for publication.

Articles can be submitted in printed type and sent on email: energy@bntu.by . I last case signature of the author(s) on the adoption of the rules of editorial ethics journal (developed to meet international standards and regulations) shall be sent as a separate file in the format *.pdf; or *jpeg.

Size of scientific articles is counted as publications on the topic of the thesis must be at least 0.35 author's sheet (14,000 characters, including spaces between words, punctuation, numbers, etc.).

The article should include:

• UDC (a set of text - font Times New Roman 11 pt, italic, all caps);

• Title (should reflect the main idea of the completed research, to be as brief as possible; a set of text - font Times New Roman 11 pt, bold, all caps);

• surname and initials of the author (s) in the nominative case, scientific degree, academic rank or specialty Diploma (set of text - font Times New Roman 11 pt, italic);

• place of work, study (set of text - font Times New Roman 11 pt, italic lowercase);

• e-mail address;

• abstract and keywords (the size of 200-250 words in Russian and English) (hereinafter set of text - font Times New Roman 11 pt, straight lines) should contain (recommended structure): the purpose and objectives, research methods, results, conclusions. Abstract must be suitable for publication separately from the article. The English version should not be a mechanical translation of the Russian text, and provide understanding of the work for foreign readers;

• introduction (a brief overview of the literature on the studies, mentioned previously unresolved issues, formulate and justify the purpose of research);

  • · main part (possibility to split into subsections), including graphics and other illustrative material (if any), but the tables and figures should not duplicate each other, i.e. not overload the text of the article with illustrative material;

• conclusions. In the brief state the main results obtained with their novelty, advantages;

• A list of accepted symbols and abbreviations (if necessary);

  • · References. References should be made in order of citation in the text and is located at the end of the article, references are numbered in the order of citation in the text. Serial numbers of references in the text should be written within square brackets (e.g. [1], [2]).

The articles must have at least 10 references, including articles from international journals, as well as links to author(s) own research. Review articles should include at least 30 references, including articles from international magazines, as well as links to author(s) own research.

Recommendations for paper’s illustrative materials:

• The illustrations are performed in any Microsoft Office applications and placed within the text after the first mention of them. Illustrations (figures) in addition, must be submitted as separate files on electronic media carriers. Photos are placed in the article should have contrasting black and white or color image. Articles in Russian illustrations must have signs and symbols in Russian and English languages.

• Tables should have a title and be placed directly in the text. It is not recommended to perform horizontal table. Number of tables - no more than three.

Formulas (all characters of Latin, Greek, and other alphabets used in the formulas) should be typed using the built-in MS Word Equation Editor MathType 6. In the latter must be installed following the character size: normal character -11 pt, Large index - 7 pt, small index - 5 pt, a major symbol - 17 pt., small symbol -12 pt.

When transferring part of the formula to the next line in the beginning of this line is repeated sign of mathematical action that ends the previous line. At the same Latin characters must be typed in italics in the formulas, and the figures in the text, and Russian and Greek - straight.

If necessary, make reference to the formula, they should be numbered in Arabic numerals placed in parentheses in order of appearance in the text. Numbers of formulas are aligned to the right edge of the page.

• The dimension of physical quantities and chemical indicators used in the text is given in the International System of Units (SI).

• One should distinguish between the hyphen "-" and a dash " – ". The text dash separated by single spaces, dashes exception between numbers (4,0-12,5).

Manuscripts without taking into account these requirements will not be accepted.

The article should be signed by all authors. At the end of the article the authors must disclose the following information: name, surname, patronymic, home address, email address, mail, phone numbers, place of employment, academic degree and title. Graduate students must also indicate the name, initials, degree, rank of the supervisor.

Technical indicators of an article

• Options page:

• A4;

• indent for the left field and the field from the top - 25 mm, right and bottom - 20 mm;

• pagination in the bottom header started from the second page, with right-aligned.

All of the text is typed in «Times New Roman» 11 pt. Line spacing - one and a half. Paragraph - 12 mm.

Articles typed with a violation of the rules above are not accepted to consider by the editorship.

The procedure for submission articles

Article to the editor must has recommendation of the department or structural body (graduate students represent as well recommendation where should be noted the year of postgraduate training).

Foreign citizens must submit paper together with corresponding letter on official letterhead (with details) from the rector / vice-rector for science of the university or research institution. In other cases, the decision to admit the article is accepted by the Editorial Board of the journal.

Articles received by the editors of the journal are registered in the prescribed manner. The editors have the right to return the article to the author without registration in the case of non-compliance with the requirements.

Articles published previously in other journals or scientific publications can not be accepted by editorial body. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the material already published previously.

The fee for the publication of the article the author is not paid.

Materials submitted to the Journal do not come back to authors.

The editors reserve the right to change requirements for papers in connection with the requirements of HAC of Republic of Belarus and the decisions of the Editorial Board.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 11 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
