Journal History

International scientific-technical journal "Energetika. News of higher educational institutions and energetic associations of CIS" has been published since January 1958. The main objective was the creation of the publication platform where scientists and experts from different universities working in the field of energy could exchange the latest developments, perspectives, and problems related to the effective functioning of the power engineering complex of the Soviet Union.

On February 25, 1992 in accordance with the agreement of the Heads of Governments dated on  February 14, 1992 on the coordination of interstate relations in the field of power industry of the Commonwealth of Independent States the 1st meeting of the electric Power Council of the Commonwealth was held. It was considered expedient in the interests of energy development in the CIS and improves the level of training of engineering, pedagogical and scientific personnel of the establishment of scientific-technical and production journal "Energetika. News of higher educational institutions and energy associations CIS” with the editorial Board in Minsk (the publisher was nominated Belarusian state Polytechnic Academy).

On the 08.05.1992 the journal has been registered in the State Committee of the Republic of Belarus for printing. Founders: the Ministry of education of the Republic of Belarus, CIS electric Power Council, and Committee on higher education of the Ministry of science, higher education and technical policy of the Russian Federation.
