Показаны перспективы создания ряда полимеров (эпоксидных смол, силиконовых эластомеров, этилен-пропиленовых каучуков, политетрафторэтилена и др.), армирующих материалов, а также проблемы старения полимерной изоляции.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Problems concerning development of composite insulators and insulator types for electric mains with a voltage higher than 1000 kV in the Western Europe are considered in the paper.
